Oh my bed. How I can’t wait to see you. Not that I’m not having fun traveling around here… it’s quite the opposite: too much to do! As I sit here in London on my final day of the tour waiting for my flight back to Canada, I am feeling very satisfied with my shows and travel in the wonderful continent of Europe. Let’s re-cap the last week.
My first and second posts were from France, Scotland, Ireland & Belgium. After a few days of rest and drinking amazing beer, I left Belgium for the Scandinavian country of Finland. I visited Sweden on a tour many moons ago as a DJ for Josh Martinez and loved it. Helsinki was no different. I arrived on a beautiful day to some great hospitality on a day off. Checked out the club (whoa) and got a 360 degree view of the city from it’s rooftop. Took it easy and played some music with new friends on a night off. The next day was rainy, which was fine because I met up with DJ Anonymous for some lunch and record shopping. Had to keep the bags light until the home stretch, and I was lucky because Lifesaver Records had the best selection of any shop I visited. I did a promo spot at SPIN FM (a radio station in a mall) and then prepped for my gig. Tiger is one of the nicest clubs I’ve ever seen: incredible soundsystem, ballin-ass bar, multiple levels, all kinds of madness which may or may not include a topless DJ, and great staff. We rocked the house and then found an afterparty with all your typical afterparty ingredients: an indoor pool, a sauna, bar, weapons gallery and a mini-discotheque. Helsinki, wassssup?? Shouts out to Kauri and Santi.
With little gas in the tank, I hit the airport and skipped over Sweden to Oslo. After an afternoon nap, I visited the INCREDIBLE Vigeland Sculpture Park and had a very slow stroll around the amazing artwork. Met up with the Club Juicy guys and checked some more parts of the amazing city of Oslo, as well as some big screen World Cup action. I had heard much about the Club Juicy party and the rumors were true: amazing night! Any party where “Bloody Money” by Capone-N-Noreaga gets played is a good night. Great crowd, too. Check out some flicks below. Thanks, fellas.
Today in London was basically a chill out day with my friend Mr. Kish Kash, checking out some World Cup in football fan country. We spiced up the day with some amazing Indian food with some friends while Germany smoked Australia, followed by a few drinks in a bar where we bumped into Kish’s old friend Fake Blood who said he checked out my Star Wars Routine yesterday on youtube. Earlier today, I sat next to a man on the plane from Oslo to London who worked in my hometown of Bedford, Nova Scotia. It is indeed a small world. And I can gladly say that I saw some great new places this world has to offer on this tour! Thanks to everyone who made it happen and showed me love along the way. You all make it an enjoyable experience. Spread love! Good night.
