Hey you lil’ Bastids,

I had a great 2 weeks of traveling and playing shows during a quick trip around the globe that took me to Germany, Austria & Vietnam. It was a lot of miles in a short amount of time, but that didn’t interfere with some great adventures everywhere that I visited. Met some great new friends, played some great gigs & saw some great things. Felt really good to ‘unplug’ the cell/internet for a while… now that I’m back, let me fill you in on what’s been going on in Bastid land.

Got some exciting international gigs coming up this week.

Returning to Germany, hitting some new cities. Suttgart Friday, November 4th (Club = Speak Easy) & Munich Saturday November 5th (Club = Addicted II, pictured above). Pop over to my Facebook page for a special video for all my German heads. Excited!

Monday night I will be playing in Salzburg, Austria at a private function, but if you ask around you may be able to attend. Get on it.

Then, I’m off to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam as part of the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange. November 12th I will be playing at Army Stadium. Never thought I’d get to Vietnam for a gig, pretty radical. The good dude DJ Agile will be over there as well.

Stay tuned for pics & video!

Update: here’s the flyer for Stuttgart:

Here’s one for all of my Canadian french immersion alumni:

Ya damn right.

It’s that time of year again – easily one of my favorite weekends of the year. This year, I will be playing in Toronto on Friday at the Steam Whistle Brewery (site of Bastid’s BBQ) and on Saturday in Halifax at the Cunard Centre, alongside my good friend and Classified’s tour DJ – DJ IV.

The Steam Whistle Halloween Party is already sold out, but there will be some limited tickets at the door. “Haliween 2011″ is a guaranteed smasher – get more info on the Facebook event page. 2 years ago, I played at that same venue in Halifax with Jazzy Jeff and look what happened:

See you there and good luck deciding on your costume if you haven’t figured it out already. I’ve got mine…

My good friend, creator of Scribble Jam & the 1200 Hobos, and one of my greatest inspirations, Mr. Dibbs is really sick in Cincinnati. He needs our help.

Mr Dibbs, the innovative DJ and producer, the one who has given so much of himself and his heart through music, entertainment and now food, has come to a place in his life where he is in need of our help. Last month he was diagnosed with Cirrhosis which is the scarring of the liver and poor liver function. It is the final phase of chronic liver disease. He is no longer able to work being that he is in and out of the hospital too much. In just a month, having no insurance, his medical bills have reached over $485,000. Please, if you can spare it, any amount would help. You can make donations directly to Brad through the paypal account email Hellkitchen@netzero.com. Go to PayPal.com, click send money, in the TO address type in: Hellkitchen@netzero.com. You can follow Brad’s progress at www.twitter.com/mrdibbs. Thank you all.

You can visit and ‘like’ the Facebook page and help spread the word at Pay It Forward 2 Mr. Dibbs.

Here’s the high quality, stand-alone mp3 for one of the remixes from Skratch Bastid & Sneaker Freaker present The Starter Era – Dope Raps 1989-1993. If you haven’t listened to it yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

This remix was inspired by “What a N*gga Know” by KMD, MF Doom’s original group. Great tune.
