Oh my bed. How I can’t wait to see you. Not that I’m not having fun traveling around here… it’s quite the opposite: too much to do! As I sit here in London on my final day of the tour waiting for my flight back to Canada, I am feeling very satisfied with my shows and travel in the wonderful continent of Europe. Let’s re-cap the last week.

Yup, you heard right my friends. We back at it again and we jut keep going big. After the first legendary night at Revival, the Vancouver 2010 Olympics gig, and the Heavy on the Right Coast Juno weekend show with Drake, it’s only right that we add our two cents to this year’s Toronto Jazz Festival. The trio will be throwing down at Mod Club (722 College Street) on June 24th to kick off 10 days of live music in the megacity. If you haven’t seen or heard about Scratch, Skratch, Scratch yet, you should peep the Okay Player review of the first show or check either one of these videos. We’re also working with Shure on a little surprise for ya’ll so stay tuned and cop your tickets now because this is gonna be crazy. Check out the Facebook Event Page if that’s your thang.

On the jazz fest tip, I’ll be playing a solo show on the weekends of both the Saskatoon Jazz Festival and the Winnipeg Jazz Festival, on June 25th and June 26th, respectively. Talkin’ all that jazz. (Photo credit: Shalan&Paul)

Like whoa.

Last week after my gig in Paris I traveled across the water to Scotland & Ireland, eventually for a weekend show in the town of Sligo, Ireland. This was my second time over there, and a redhead named Paul Murphy fits in pretty well in those parts. Read on for some pictures, AN ANIMATED .GIF, and tales of my travels.

Cee-Lo has had a remarkable career thus far. From his start as the backbone of Atlanta rap group Goodie Mob to his criminally slept on solo albums to his surprise international smash “Crazy” as a member of Gnarls Barkley, his diversity as an artist has always been more than impressive. Effortlessly switching between singing and rapping, both at the top of his class, he brings an unforgettable touch to any track he appears on. He’s quite simply a natural.

Over the next two weeks, I’m traveling around Europe as somewhat of a hybrid tour/vacation that will go like this: Paris-Edinburgh-Dublin-Sligo-Brussels-Helsinki-Oslo-London. I’ve got gigs in all of the bold cities (check my dates page), and the rest I’m straight getting my tourist on. I’ll be posting some pictures on here to give you an idea of what I’m seeing over here and how the shows are going.

My Paris gig was great! Promoters CO2 Activity brought me out to their BEAT & JUICE night @ Nouveau Casino, a dope multi-genre-but-hip-hop-based night at a great venue. DJ Neil Armstrong was scheduled to play, but had to cancel unfortunately. Added to the bill was midwest-US rapper F. Stokes who shared a lot of mutual friends with me through my Scribble Jam days. The nights go late here and we rocked from 12-6am with locals Jazzeffiq and Uncle T.

The next day, I checked out an art show by NY O.G. graf writer SEEN who gets a lot of love in Paris, apparently. Checked out a few bar nights, cruised around the city on a VELIB’ rent-a-bike (I’m a fan), saw a DJ who really needed to put a shirt on, drank mojitos and soaked it all in. Here’s a few pictures from my travels.
Today is my last day here, and I’ll probably add to the slideshow. (*updated 08/06/10)

Pictured at the top of this post is the sexy flyer for my Oslo gig with the Club Juicy crew. I’ve heard great things about that party and am excited to end my tour with that show. Between now and then, check this space for more Euro adventures.
